How does the estate clearing process work and what does it cost?

The price of estate clearance is not always the same, as every property and its contents are different. That is why we visit the property to assess both the amount of work and the potential value of the contents. Based on this, you will receive a clear quote before the work begins.

1. Get in touch and tell us about the property

You can contact us by phone, email, or via our contact form. Please tell us the location, size, and, if possible, a little about the contents of the property. You can send photos at this stage for a preliminary assessment.

2. We assess the work and the contents

We evaluate how much needs to be cleared and what the work will require. At the same time, we go through the contents and identify any items that may have resale value, such as designer furniture, lamps, glassware, ceramics, art, and other valuable items.

3. You receive a clear quote

The costs of the clearance are influenced by factors such as the size of the property, the amount of goods, the complexity of the work, and the volume of items to be removed and recycled. The value of the contents can, in turn, be credited against the cost of the clearance.

Clearance can cost money – or even be profitable for the client

When the contents do not have significant resale value, the client pays an agreed price for the clearance.

When the property contains sellable and valuable items, their value can be credited against the cost of the clearance. In such cases, the client only pays the difference.

When the value of the contents matches the costs of the clearance, there may be nothing for the client to pay at all.

When the value of the contents exceeds the costs of the clearance, the situation can be reversed: the clearance costs the client nothing, and they may even receive money from the estate's contents.

Example

If the standard price for the clearance were €1,000 and the credit value of the items to be purchased were €600, the client would have €400 to pay.

If the credit value of the items were €1,000, the clearance could cost the client €0.

If the credit value of the items were, for example, €1,800, the client could receive a payout after the clearance costs have been deducted.

This is why you should not clear the estate or dispose of items before an assessment of the contents has been made. Furniture and objects that have been in an ordinary home for decades can sometimes be significantly more valuable than their owner or relatives have thought.

Paljonko kuolinpesän tyhjennys maksaa?

Kuolinpesän tyhjennyksen hinta riippuu asunnon koosta, tavaran määrästä, työn vaativuudesta sekä pois kuljetettavan ja kierrätettävän tavaran määrästä.
